/// New project: the flower-selfies. In the history of art, one of the most used subjects is the female form. Loved for her beauty, shape, sensuality and the caring factor that embodies a woman. Second in that row is in my opinion the flower. It's just that flowers aren't aware of their, if they even had some, insecurities.
(Analogue) photography ables me to accept the concept of time. In this society where everything is expected to go fast, with always something new waiting around the corner, some might forget that you have the option not to go with that flow. Time will feel more precious to me when I don't. Waiting for results of a new film gives me just that same thrill as taking the actual photograph and more importantly not feeling rushed.
“We all experience it. Those moments when we gasp and say, “Oh, look at that.” Maybe it’s nothing more than the way a shadow glides across a face, but in that split second, when you realize something truly remarkable is happening and disappearing right in front of you, if you can pass a camera before your eye, you’ll tear a piece of time out of the whole, and in a breath, rescue it and give it new meaning.” – Joel Meyerowitz
